Dear Circle family,
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
– John 14:27
Yesterday the Government of Saskatchewan announced that all classes in Saskatchewan preK-12 Schools will be suspended indefinitely, effective March 20, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The directive also came down ending any large gatherings including faith based events.
In keeping with these directives, Circle Drive Alliance will be cancelling our on-site programming effective today, Tuesday, March 17, 2020. We will reassess these program changes at the end of April.
We know that this will only be the first in a series of hard decisions that we will have to make over the next weeks and months. Please keep us in your prayers as we are praying for you. We know this will be a financially difficult time for many, but for those still able, we ask you to continue to give to support the ministry of Circle now and in the future.
Even though we are in an unprecedented and difficult time, we must stay connected! Social distance must be applied, but it can’t be allowed to become social isolation. So let’s spend time with God, reach out to our community, and live out the heart of Jesus through compassion and justice. The church is its people, so reach out to friends and family. Help a neighbor. Do some shopping for someone who may be more vulnerable to the virus. Together we will get through these hard days.
We are putting plans in place to allow the church to meet virtually while we can’t be physically together in the same spaces as much. We will provide more information later in the week about those plans.
May God’s peace fill your heart!
