ABOUT CIRCLE DRIVE
ALLIANCE CHURCH
Circle Drive Alliance Church first began meeting in 1933 in a little white wood-framed church on 13th Street.
After an 11 year period of growth and several venue changes, the community moved again and became known as University Drive Alliance Church. By the early 1970’s the church planted 7 alliance churches in the city and continued to grow. Under the leadership of Rev. Walter Boldt, the congregation decided to enter another building project, and in 1979 moved to the current location, and became known as Circle Drive Alliance Church. In 1990, Rev. Eldon Boldt became Senior Pastor of Circle Drive Alliance Church and lead our church with a deep vision to reach our neighbourhood and impact our city.
In 2020, Pastor Eldon retired after 30 years of ministry. From 2021-2023, Pastor Jon Cook served as our Lead Pastor.
In 2023, we began the process of looking for a Transition Pastor. This Transition Pastor will lead Circle through the process and will help us to identify and take the initial steps needed to move toward the selection and calling of the next Lead Pastor for Circle.
Our Vision
Be the kind of church that un-churched people love to attend. We want to remove as many barriers as possible so that our guests feel welcome and comfortable. In order to accomplish that, all of our ministry teams work hard to purposely create a remarkable experience for each person who walks through our doors.
Our Mission
Building relationships to reach, teach and equip people to serve and follow Jesus. Through our actions and interactions, we reach out into our community to build relationships for good. By displaying and sharing both the love of Christ and His truth, we teach and equip people to follow Jesus.
Our Purpose
Caring for our community and sharing the love of Christ with the world by fulfilling the Great Commandment ‘to love your neighbour as yourself’ and the Great Commission ‘to share the love of Christ with the world’.
