Using Auracast App at Circle

CircleYXE Auditorium Auracast Guide

For iPhone Users (iOS)

Important Note: iPhones do not natively support Auracast stream handoffs yet. Third-party apps like HearAura will scan and find our broadcast, but they will freeze on “Connecting…” because of Apple’s system limitations.

Step 1: Bypass Third-Party Apps

Step 2: Use the Manufacturer’s Official App

1. Open your official hearing aid app (e.g., ReSound Smart 3D, Oticon Companion, My Starkey).

2. Look in the app’s menu for “Auracast”, “Public Broadcast”, or “Find a Broadcast”.

3. Select the CircleYXE stream directly through their official app.

Step 3: Direct Hardware Fix (If Step 2 Fails)

If the manufacturer app still fails to connect, the iPhone’s MFi (Made for iPhone) protocol is blocking the stream.

The Solution: We will provide you with one of our 10 Venue Beltclip Packs. Please note that you need to provide your own headphones.

Compatible hearing aids (like ReSound Nexia or Oticon Intent) can connect directly through the phone’s system settings without needing any apps.

Step 1: Clear the App

Close HearAura or any other third-party helper apps.

Step 2: Connect Natively via Settings

1. Go to Settings > Connected Devices (or Bluetooth).

2. Tap the Settings icon (Gear) next to their connected hearing aids.

3. Look for an option that says “Find a Broadcast” or “Auracast”.

4. Select the CircleYXE stream from the list to link the hearing aids directly to the room’s audio.

Step 3: Clear Bluetooth Traffic

If it gets stuck connecting, temporarily turn off the phone’s Bluetooth for 10 seconds, turn it back on, and try

Step 2 again to clear background streaming blocks (like Spotify or YouTube).

Non-compatible Hearing Aids and/or Individuals with Hearing Loss

If you have non-compatible hearing aids, or have hearing loss, but don’t use hearing aids, you can borrow a receiver to use with your own headphones.

These belt-clip devices have a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack input, so you can plug your wired headphones or earbuds into the device

Note – each person must have their own headphones/earbuds – Circle does not provide them.
