Pastor Paul provides leadership to Circle as a member of the Lead Team, is the Director of the Community Life Department, and is one of the Sunday speaking pastors. Paul joined Circle’s staff team in 2015 and participates in shaping community thought and culture. Born in Ukraine and raised in Canada, Paul loves his wife and two teenage sons. In his spare time, he loves sports, specifically hockey and soccer, adventures with his family, movies, and reading a book with a good cup of coffee.
Director of Operations & Ministry Development
Sherry is a member of the Lead Team and gives leadership to the operations of the church including finance, HR, administration and the facility. She oversees ministry and mission development and leads the staff in developing strategy and alignment. Sherry joined the staff team in 2002 as the Director of Children’s Ministry and moved into her current role as Director of Operations and Ministry Development in 2014. Sherry enjoys hanging out with her husband, their 3 grown children and their spouses, and their 6 grandchildren. Sherry loves to paint and enjoys spending time at the lake with family and friends.
Director of Technology
Gord provides leadership as part of Circle’s Lead Team, and is the Director of IT & Communications. Gord joined Circle’s staff team in 2005 and is constantly working to grow the church through the power of technology and connection. Gord is the proud father of 3 well launched adult children and maybe even prouder ‘Papa’ to two grand children. He very much enjoys working with his wife on their yard and travelling the world with her as well.
Director of Communications
Austin is the Director of Connections, helping new guests explore opportunities to connect with community at Circle. He provides leadership to Alpha and has a deep passion for people to explore their questions about faith in a welcoming environment. He also assists on our communications team. Austin joined our team part time in 2018, and full time in July 2019. Born and raised in the Saskatoon area. Recently married to a passionate teacher with a crazy love of coffee. Austin loves sports and it's evident in his office and large hat collection. He enjoys talking sports and just about anything else over coffee.
Children's Ministry Coordinator
Bailey’s position on staff is providing leadership and assisting in areas of both Kids and Junior High ministries. She has a passion for serving kids and students and helping them wrestle through life’s big questions and understand their value as children of God. Caring for her leaders and watching them grow in their relationship with Christ is one of her favorite parts of the job. Bailey’s staff role at Circle began as a Kids Kapers coordinator in the summers of 2018 and 2019, she began part-time in 2019 as a CircleKids Small Groups Coordinator, and will begin full-time ministry starting in September 2020. As a recent Horizon College and Seminary graduate, Bailey loves having conversations with others about anything and everything and enjoys a wide range of activities including playing video games, practicing music (piano and voice), camping, and reading a good book witch a cup of coffee. Recently she has been enjoying journaling and exploring the art of scrap-booking and calligraphy.
Director of Kid's Ministry
Cindy is the Director of Children’s Ministry here at Circle and oversees all things kids from Infants through Grade 5. From Sunday morning programming to Kids Kapers, she has a passion to help kids understand how much Jesus loves them while Partnering with Parents as they raise their kids to know, love and follow Jesus. None of what Cindy does could be accomplished without the passion of the expansive Circle Kids volunteer team which she enjoys giving leadership to. Cindy joined Circle part-time in 2010, full-time in 2012 and began her role as Director of Kids Ministry in 2014. Born in the USA, Cindy was raised in Ontario until moving to Warman with her family in 2007. Although never expecting she’d raise her kids in the prairies, she is proud to call Saskatchewan her ‘home away from home’. Cindy loves hanging out with her 3 almost adult children and is happy doing pretty much anything, although top of her list would be reading a good book, enjoying chocolate in any form and tent camping under our amazing SK sky!
Elisa is the Multimedia Assistant at Circle. She works part time filming and editing our Circle YXE online content, as well as assisting with photography and social media. She began at Circle as the Kids Kapers Media Assistant during the summer of 2020. Elisa is in her senior year at Warman High School and enjoys her role at Circle as it is helping her explore career options for the future. When not in school or working at her two part time jobs, Elisa loves travelling. It doesn't matter if it's getting on a plane to a new country or hopping in the car for a road trip with friends, she is happiest exploring new places.
Director of Service Programming
Darcy is the Director of Service Programming at Circle, which is a fancy title that means he makes sure that all of the pieces that are necessary to create the Sunday morning experience in the auditorium are ready to go. As a part of this, he provides leadership to the music and technical teams that are a part of Sunday morning services at Circle. Additionally, he oversees the audio and visual technical requirements throughout the church. Darcy came on staff as the Service Production Technical Director in 2016 and has recently come into the role of Director of Service Programming.
Director of Community Care
Dave is the Director of Community Care, and helps facilitate connections in our community and provides pastoral support and spiritual guidance for the community at Circle. He gives oversight to our support and recovery groups, seniors groups, and marriage ministries. He also provides leadership to Circle Groups. Dave joined Circle’s staff in 2015 as the Director of Youth and Young Adults and transitioned to his current role in 2019. Dave enjoys a good board game and likes to cook (especially breakfasts). He loves spending time with his wife and two children and they really enjoy travelling and long road trips as a family.
By day, Deserée manages pretty much all aspects of the money and Human Resources side of Circle, and keeps us compliant with government regulations pertaining to charities and labour standards. Her volunteer ministry involvement is currently focused on senior high youth, with a long history in kids ministry. By night (or weekend) you will most likely find her painted green at a Riders game, playing a board game that involves more thinking than Monopoly, maybe riding her bike, or even tripping the light fantastic at a local ballroom dance event. Regardless of what she's doing, she'll be doing it with good friends and family. If you want to treat her, think gummy candies - not chocolate!
Director of Youth Ministry
Jon is the Director of Youth Ministry at Circle, and provides leadership to both Junior High and Senior High programming at CircleYouth. He is also on Circle's speaking team as well as Circle's digital media production and management which includes social media, photography, and videography. Jon joined the team at Circle in 2016. Born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to Indian parents, Jon immigrated to Canada as a child and has called Saskatoon home since 1995. He has a passion for basketball, particularly the Toronto Raptors, and enjoys pushing his creativity in photography and videography. Jon is likely the #1 The Office fan, and will know more trivia than a normal human should.
Melanie is a member of our administration team providing admin assistance for ministry and operations. She oversees rentals and manages reception and office volunteers. Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their dogs. She l She is married with 2 children, 2 grandchildren and 3 Chihuahuas. She loves gathering together with family and friends, movies & popcorn, sitting around a fire, going for walks or reading a good book, and of course a good cup of Chai Tea latte.
