Prince Thomas

Hi Circle!

I’m Prince Thomas, and I appreciate the opportunity to introduce myself as I prepare to serve as your Lead Pastor.

I was born and raised in Antigua & Barbuda, a twin-island nation in the Eastern Caribbean. Growing up in a pastor’s home, I personally came to know Jesus at a young age. I first pursued a career in accounting, earning a Bachelor of Science degree, but during my studies, God clearly called me to pastoral ministry. This calling led me to Canada, where I pursued a Master of Divinity at Ambrose University Seminary and started serving in the local church.

Over the past eight years, I have been privileged to serve at Pacific Community Church in Surrey, BC, currently as Lead Pastor. Throughout this time, I have engaged in various aspects of church life and cherished the opportunity to walk alongside people of all ages through diverse seasons of life and faith. These experiences have strengthened my love for Jesus, for people, and for the body of Christ.

For me, ministry primarily means meeting people where they are, following Jesus’s example. In the Scriptures, we learn that Jesus came to meet us in our situation, and I believe His Church should do the same. We reach out to others, build genuine relationships, share the good news of Jesus, and help people grow as disciples who increasingly reflect Him in all aspects of their lives. I also strongly believe in equipping people to use their God-given gifts for ministry, as Paul explains in Ephesians 4. The Church is strongest when everyone recognizes their vital role in Jesus’s mission.

Circle, I’m genuinely excited about what God is doing in and through you! I deeply appreciate your longstanding faithfulness and the warm welcome I’ve received during my conversations with your board and search team. I’ve also heard many positive things about your staff and am eager to get to know them better as we envision serving together. The idea of working in Saskatoon, a city that is continually developing and expanding, invigorates me. Most importantly, I look forward to building on God’s work so far and working together to proclaim Jesus’ name for His glory in our current environment.

I’m married to my lovely bride, Marisa, and we have a joyful and energetic son named Kaius. Outside of ministry, I enjoy sports, good food, reading books that make me think, and spending time with family and friends. We’re excited to meet you, hear your stories, worship together, and love like Jesus together! Thank you for your prayers and kindness toward our family. We feel grateful for this opportunity and look forward to discerning God’s plans for Circle and our family in the coming season.
